Madame Blueberry
On Friday morning the father-in-law and I made our voyage to the northeast side of Chicago to purchase Madame Blueberry. Madame Blueberry is a 2005 Honda Civic that is well, you know...blue. Probably owned by a murderer in Chicago. I searched the car for weapons and blood but it seems they did a decent job cleaning up the evidence. Anyway, after purchasing the car I had to follow my father-in-law home. This sounds simple but let me give you a visual. Imagine you are going 80-90mph down I90 following a white Ford Fusion weaving in and out of traffic, not paying the tolls, surrounded by drug traffickers and murderers. After getting home from a four hour trip only taking three hours I was pretty exhausted but in the end it seems worth it. Hopefully Madame Blueberry will live up to our 2000 Honda Civic that was put to an early death by someone who had no business driving in the first place.

Monumental Moment
At about 6:30 this morning I woke up and noticed that Liam was being a little fussy, after consulting with my wife I had come to the realization that we had just experienced a thing called sleep. This foreign thing called sleep puts you into a good mood and you can actually enjoy the rest of your day without walking around in a tunnel. Liam had slept from 11:30pm to 6:30am, I don't imagine that I will experience this thing called sleep in the next few years but I can only be hopeful.

First day home
Wow, what a trip. Even though Misty and I have been down this road with Emma it amazes me how hard a newborn is to take care of. On top of the new recruit we still have Emma to maintain. With my personality and energy she is non-stop. The best thing about Emma is we have finally figured out how to praise and punish. The thought in her mind to have to sit still is total death, annihilation, gnashing of teeth, screaming terror and anything unfit for mankind. On the flip side she loves praises and quality time. To have her sit on my lap and chat or go for a walk is her hidden treasure, the utopia of her life.
Liam seems to have Misty's personality. He is very calm and only really fusses when he is hungry or needs his diaper changed. Sleep, sleep and more sleep is all this kid does. You can barely catch him awake.
